KUDAT LONGHOUSE & TIP OF BORNEO
Morning, pick up from hotel in Kota Kinabalu and drive north to Kudat. Villages, rice field and nice scenery can be seen along the way. Visit a traditional Rungus longhouse in a village just outside Kudat. The architecture of the longhouse is unique, with towering poles rise some feet above the ground and walls sloped outwards. The interior fittings are exquisitely furnished with locally-sourced materials like bamboo stems and rumbia leaves. Enjoy a traditional lunch cooked by the Rungus women. After lunch proceed to a modern Rungus longhouse. The Rungus people still maintain their traditional spiritual beliefs and this gentle tribe is known for their stunning handicraft especially beadworks and ornamental items. Observe the way of life and the living arrangement of the longhouse. Mingle with the locals and observe their way of life. Return to Kota Kinabalu and transfer back to your hotel (Lunch included)
