3D/2N Gomantong/Sukau/Kinabatangan River/Sepilok Orang Utan Centre

Day 1    Sandakan / River Trip
Morning, pick up from Sandakan Airport or your hotel in Sandakan and drive to Gomantong Caves. Explore the biggest bird’s nest caves in Sabah. Continue the journey to Sukau by the Kinabatangan River. Check in Bukit Melapi Lodge. Boat trip to watch the curious proboscis monkeys gather by the river bank. A good chance to see numerous species of birds and other wildlife until nightfall. After dinner, retire for the night (Lunch/Dinner included).

Day 2    Ox-bow Lake / River cruise
Morning, take another boat trip to the ox-bow lakes. Birds abound in all shapes and forms. The lakes are the abode of freshwater fish, otters and sometime - wild elephants may be sighted. Trek in the riverine rainforest and return to the Lodge. After lunch, another boat trip in search of more wildlife.  Dinner and overnight at lodge. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included).

Day 3    Sepilok Orang Utan Centre / Sandakan
After breakfast, return to mainland and proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Centre. Witness the feeding of orphaned orang utans. Walk along a jungle trail and observe the tropical lowland rainforest. Transfer to your hotel in Sandakan or to the Airport. (Breakfast included) 

** What to bring – Disposable raincoat, cap, sunblock lotion, insect repellent, drinking water, flashlight, leech socks, personal toiletries & items of personal use. Use good walking shoes and bring a pair of flat walking sandal. Comfortable cotton T-shirts with long or short pants recommended. 

** Do not wear bright colour clothing such as red or yellow. Keep your belongings safe in your bag and avoid wearing jewellery especially dangling ones. No food is allowed in the orang utan reserve
