3D2N Mystical Mulu (Staying at Mulu National Park HQ)

Day 1      Arrive Mulu/Deer Cave/ Lang Cave/Bat Exodus 

Meet on arrival at Mulu Airport and transfer to Mulu National Park Headquarter.  Afternoon, trek 3KM through Mulu’s amazing tropical rainforests to discover Lang Cave and its beautiful formation. Then, walk through the World’s largest cave entrance of the Deer Cave. If the weather is fine, proceed to the open-air observatory for an opportunity to witness the phenomenal exodus of millions of bats out of the caves (subject to fine weather).  Each evening the bats gather at the cave entrance in large ring-shaped formations, circling higher and higher up the cliff face before moving out across the rainforest in spiralling ribbons. Twelve species of bats have been recorded within Deer Cave, including the colony of Wrinkled-Lipped Bats estimated to number between 2.5 and 3.5 million individuals.  Return to the park HQ.  Dinner at Mulu Park Canteen before retiring for the night. (D) 

Day 2      Penan Settlement/Wind Cave /Clearwater Cave 

After breakfast, take a long boat and cruise along the winding rivers to a tribal Penan settlement. Brief stop to learn about this unique community before continuing your journey upriver to the enchanting Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave. The Wind Cave is famous for its naturally sculpted column and pillars. Discover the Clearwater Cave where you will find that the river that roars beneath your feet has travelled its subterranean route for over 170km. Take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters outside the cave where the river emerges from the cliff face. Enjoy your picnic lunch amidst the rainforest. Return to park HQ. Dinner and overnight (B/L/D) 

Day 3      Departure

Free at leisure until transfer to Mulu airport for departure flight. (B)

1. 2 nights’ accommodation at the Mulu National Park Headquarter in selected accommodation

2. Tours and transfers as stated on seat in coach basis

3. Meals as stated, Entrance fee, English Speaking Guid

1. This package is valid from 1 Jan - 31 Dec 2014. Travel must complete by 31 Dec 2014.

2. A non refundable deposit of RM150 per person is required to confirm a booking.

3. Garden Bungalow / Chalet and Longhouse is based on Single / Twin / Triple share occupancy

4. Hostel is based on Dormitory beds

5. All tours are on Seat in coach basis. Private tour is available at a surcharge of RM350 nett per group for group size 1-14 person (guide and boat only)

6. Advance reservation is required and confirmation is subject to availability

7. Rates are in Ringgit Malaysia

8. Items not utilised in this package are non-refundable and non-exchangeable

9. Items not included in the itinerary are chargeable at extra cost.

10. Package requires minimum 2 adults per booking (except for Adult Single & Child Twin)

** What to bring – Disposable raincoat, cap, sunblock lotion, insect repellent, drinking water, flashlight, swim wear, bath towel, personal toiletries & items of personal use. Use good walking shoes and bring a pair of flat walking sandal. Comfortable cotton T-shirts with long or short pants recommended.

** Child below 12 years old are not allowed on the Canopy skyway
