4D/3N Danum Valley

DAY 1 Lahad Datu / Danum Valley
In the morning, pick up from Lahad Datu Airport. Registration and short briefing. 9.30am scheduled transfer overland on a gravel road to Borneo Rainforest Lodge for 2½ hours.  1200 noon arrive at lodge. Check in. After lunch, trek in one of the oldest remaining rainforest in the world.  Experience an exciting suspension walkway to see wildlife. In the evening, experience a Night Drive in an open-air jeep in search of nocturnal animals (weather permitting). Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge, standard room (Lunch/Dinner included) 

DAY 2 Danum Valley
Nature walk with experienced naturalists through undisturbed riverine and lowland dipterocarp forest. A good chance to photograph wildlife in this pristine jungle vegetation and unlimited bird watching of rainforest species. Trek to the Kadazandusun burial site – Coffin Cliff then proceed with trekking to the View Point for a bird’s eye view of the Danum Valley and Borneo lowland rainforest area.  Descend to the Jacuzzi Pool for a refreshing dip.  After lunch opt for either an hour water tubing in the Danum River or relax at own leisure. In the evening, enjoy a night walk around the lodge in search of nocturnal animals (weather permitting). Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge, standard room (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

DAY 3 Danum Valley
Trek to the waterfall or along the Segama River. Good opportunity to bird watch. Alternatively, just relax at own leisure at the lodge. Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge, standard room (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included) 

DAY 4 Danum Valley / Lahad Datu
Guided morning walk to Hornbill Trail. Good opportunity to bird watch. Check-out time is at 1:00 p.m.  Scheduled Transfer at 1:30 p.m., an overland journey to Lahad Datu Town. Transfer to Lahad Datu Airport for departure flight (Breakfast included)

** What to bring – Disposable raincoat, cap, sunblock lotion, insect repellent, drinking water, flashlight, swim wear, leech socks, personal toiletries & items of personal use. Use good walking shoes and bring a pair of flat walking sandal. Comfortable cotton T-shirts with long or short pants recommended.
