5D/4N Stay At Mabul Island (Dive)

Day 1    Kota Kinabalu / Tawau / Semporna / Mabul Island
Morning, pick up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu and transfer to airport for a flight to Tawau. Upon arrival, transfer by coach to Semporna and then by boat to Mabul Island. Check in and have lunch. Afternoon, orientation beach dives with a dive master. Overnight at chalet. (Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 2    Sipadan / Mabul / Kapalai Island
3 boat dives a day between Mabul, Kapalai or Sipadan Islands. Overnight at chalet. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included) 

Day 3    Sipadan / Mabul / Kapalai Island
3 boat dives a day between Mabul, Kapalai or Sipadan Islands. Overnight at chalet. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 4    Sipadan / Mabul / Kapalai Island
3 boat dives a day between Mabul, Kapalai or Sipadan Islands. Overnight at chalet. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included) 

Day 5    Mabul Island / Semporna / Tawau / Kota Kinabalu
Transfer by boat to Semporna and then by land to Tawau airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to your hotel. (Breakfast included). 

What to bring   :  Swim wear, sun block lotion, cap, towel, personal items & toiletries. Use sandal/flip flop, beach wear and comfortable cotton T-shirts with long or short pants recommended.

Includes :

• Return scheduled ground transfers from Tawau Airport - Semporna - Mabul island by van/coach and boat
• Semi-detached chalet at Mabul Island
• Full board meals and light snacks served all day and beverages while at the Dive Resort (excluding alcoholic and / or carbonated soft drinks), except on arrival and departure day.

Note : All meals are served at the Resort.  If client does not arrive at the Resort by lunch time, lunch is not provided on Day 1, only dinner. If client departs with the 1100hrs boat from Mabul, light lunch will be provided at the Resort

• Three boat dives a day between Mabul, Kapalai or  Sipadan island with Professional Divemaster (except on arrival and departure days)
• Boat , tanks , weight and weight belt

Scheduled Land Transfer :
Tawau Airport to Semporna Jetty – 1^st transfer 0745hrs & 2^nd transfer 1400hrs
Semporna Jetty to Tawau Airport – 1^st transfer 0700hrs & 2^nd transfer 1200hrs 

Surcharge for unscheduled land transfer is RM225 nett per vehicle per way

Scheduled Boat Transfer :
Semporna Jetty – Mabul Island - 1^st boat schedule – 0930hrs & 2^nd schedule – 1530hrs
Mabul Island – Semporna Jetty – 1^st boat schedule – 0600hrs & 2^nd schedule – 1100hrs 

Surcharge for unscheduled boat transfer is RM1065 nett per boat per way

Note:

1. a.All divers must show proof of diver certification from an internationally Recognized Diver Training Agency upon arrival or they will not be allowed to dive without first taking a dive course.
2. b.All divers will be required to sign a Liability Release (Waiver) and Express Assumption of Risk Form upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules.
3. c.All divers must be with a buddy, no solo diving is allowed. Depth shall be limited to a maximum of 130 feet (40 meters).
4. d.To night dive or cavern dive, divers must show proof of night, cavern, cave or wreck diving (with penetrations) in the form of certification cards or log books documenting such dives.
5. e.Diving is not advisable on the last day. However, if you wish to do so, you will have to sign a separate Liability / Release Waiver form. Divers are advised to wait at least 24 hours or a minimum 18 hours before
6. f.Divers’ nationality, passport number, sex, diver certification and its level are required to book this diving tour. 

Important Note on Diving/Snorkeling to Sipadan:

The Malaysian Government through the National Security Bureau and Sabah Parks has enforced a very strict Sipadan approval system. Every application to enter Sipadan either for the purpose of Diving or Snorkeling has to go through a stringent screening and approval process. Guests buying packages to stay at Mabul Island or Kapalai with the intention to enter Sipadan will only know whether their permit has been approved by the authority upon their arrival at the resort.

Permit approval does not depend on how early in advance the application for permit is made.

If their permit is approved, they will have to pay locally at the resort. Current Sipadan Entry permit fee is charged at RM40 per person per day. This fee is subject to change without prior notice 

Please explain clearly to guests that by purchasing a diving or snorkeling package staying at Mabul Island or Kapalai, does not guarantee diving or snorkeling to Sipadan. However, diving around Mabul and Kapalai is available, subject to good weather.
